META THEORIES META-CRITICISM What makes us reject the legitimacy of a theory? Is it that the theory must fit the relatively narrow lens of Absolutism or the Historical? In fact, at least one version of every theory exists, and it is the sense of how the discipline can be interpreted or meta-critiqued. Even things like archetypes and calculus have a meta-critique. The more valuable a discipline, the more profound its meta theory must be. So, let us praise applications, and consider that every discipline is really more than one sub-discipline.
